My name is Katie & I am the owner of Middle Child Vintage. I am a thirty something based out of Hamilton, Ontario and you probably won't be surprised to hear, I absolutely adore thrifting! Thrifting is my love language, it is my therapy & it truly brings me unadulterated joy.

This little business started as a fun side hustle with zero expectations and has since turned into a full fledged full time hustle! This past year, I absolutely fell in love with sourcing vintage & secondhand goodies for an amazing community of like-minded sustainability & eco-conscious cheerleaders (like yourself!) who share in my love for saving textiles from landfills & doing our part to keep our beautiful world turning. I believe our world is plagued by overconsumption & every item you purchase secondhand, it is a small act of kindness that makes a small but mighty difference!

A little you might not know about me ... I am a Business grad from WLU, former CPA and craft beer loving lady! About six years ago, I left an accounting career that had left my life devoid of passion & personal fulfilment. It was daunting and to be perfectly honest, absolutely terrifying. However I knew I needed to leap into the scary unknown to figure out what the hell I wanted to do with my life. I knew the corporate route just wasn't for me anymore and I needed to find employment that made me feel valued & excited to get out of bed each morning. This is what lead me to the craft beer industry where I have worked for the past five years leading up the creation of Middle Child Vintage.

I am excited to get to know each & every one of you as you come along on my adventure as I grow Middle Child Vintage. One of the best parts of starting this business has been the amazing community of individuals I've met that love to thrift & shop secondhand as much as I do. You are my people and it has been so fulfilling to find my little corner of the internet where I feel I belong.
