CHECK OUT INSTRUCTIONS:

  • at check out, you have the option to "Ship" or "Pick Up"  
    • ** PLEASE NOTE - if you use pay pal or your information autofills - your browser may automatically bypass this page - you will need to refresh or open a separate browser ** 
  • if you would like contactless porch pick up, please select "Pick Up" & follow instructions outlined below 
    • The pick up address & further details will be emailed to you once your order is received & packaged up 
  • If you would like the shipping AND/OR local delivery option, select "Ship" 
  • After selecting "Ship", it will prompt you to fill in your shipping details
  • Based on your address provided, you will be given with three options depending on your postal code
    •  $5 fee in Central Hamilton AND Burlington , $10 in the outer parts of Hamilton (the Mountain, Dundas, Stoney Creek & Ancaster) & additional fee for cities indicated below
    • Local Delivery - Based on your postal code, shopify will determine which delivery option you qualify for based on details outlined below. 
    • Standard Ontario Shipping - $15 flat rate
    • Standard Outside Ontario/USA Shipping - $30 CAD + 20% Duty/Customs Charge due to tariffs

DELIVERY OPTIONS:

Central Hamilton & Burlington
  • $5 fee delivery in central/core of Hamilton near Downtown and Burlington (excludes Dundas, Waterdown, Stoneycreek & Ancaster) 
  • refer to map above for to see if you qualify for free delivery 
  • local delivery TWICE  a month, on the second & fourth Friday of every month in the  afternoon / all purchases made before 11AM on that Friday will be included in deliveries that week including purchase made up to two weeks prior. 

 

Hamilton Mountain, Dundas, Waterdown, Stoney Creek, Ancaster - $10 Fee 

    PORCH PICK UP:

    • free porch pick up available in east end of Hamilton and Burlington in the North End 
    • PLEASE NOTE, Hamilton porch pick up items are only delivered to the Hamilton pick up bin TWICE on a month on the SECOND and FOURTH Friday of each month. 
    • Burlington pick ups are available within 24 hours of purchase, please just notify me ASAP if you want to pick up within 24 hours. 
    • select " Pick Up" option at check out 
    • Upon purchase confirmation, I will send you an email with the ACTUAL pick up location with 48 business hours. Orders are packaged up on Thursday evening & Friday morning. 
    • Please respond to my email with your intended pick up date 
    • If your pick up date changes, I require minimum 24 hours notice, however the more time the better as there are some weeks I work remotely, out of town so I am unable to put your purchases out for pick up.

    • please note moving forward, I cannot hold orders for longer than a month unless previously discussed. 

    SHIPPING in CANADA

    • FREE SHIPPING on orders over $200 CAD in Canada
    • Shipping costs are automatically applied at checkout 
    • Shipping rates are as follows: 
      • $15CAD flat rate shipping across Ontario 
      • $20CAD  flat rate shipping outside of Ontario (within Canada) 
      • $3CAD flat rate shipping to the US PLUS an additional  20% (approx.) duty to be charged subsequently via invoice 
    • As of right now, I am only shipping within Canada & to the US
    • Please note, I am happy to hold on to shipping orders for up to a month if you would like to continue to shop upcoming collections,  bundle your orders & save on shipping costs. 
    • Free shipping available in Canada on purchases over $200 if you are a 2026 One Year First Look Club Member

    SHIPPING IN THE USA: 

    **** CHANGE AS OF JAN 1st, 2026** ADDITIONAL PAYMENT MUST BE MADE FOR CUSTOMS/DUTIES PRIOR TO SHIPMENT: 

    • $30 CAD flat rate shipping to the US 
    • FREE SHIPPING on ORDERS OVER $300 CAD
    • *****PLEASE NOTE***** as of January 1, 2026 a SECOND PAYMENT for custom/duties will be invoiced to all AMERICAN customers subsequent to purchase which equates to approximately 20% of the order cost
    • How it works (ONLY FOR AMERICAN ORDERS):
      • Place your order and pay as per usual 
      • After your order is placed, I will input your items into an app called "Zonos Prepay", this is Canada Post's calculator for customs & duties that MUST BE PAID PRIOR to shipment to the USA. The custom/duties are calculated individually based on the country of origination of EACH ITEM. Given the nature of my secondhand business, everything I sell has a different origination. Hence why I am unable to determine the custom/duty total until AFTER your purchase. 
      • After I have calculated the customs, I will send you a screenshot of the  Zonos calculation so you can verify the total. 
      • I will send you an invoice via Shopify or Paypal for the customs amount. Custom/duties are the responsibility of the CUSTOMER to pay. Once I received your payment, I will pay via the Zonos app. 
      • Once your payment for the customs is submitted to Middle Child Vintage, I will ship out your order and provide a tracking number.
